Ardmore Shipping Corporation took delivery of Ardmore Chinook, a 25,217 deadweight tonne, Eco-design IMO 2 product and chemical tanker on July 17, 2015.
The tanker was constructed at the Fukuoka Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (“Fukuoka Shipbuilding”) shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan, and is the third in a series of four Fukuoka newbuildings scheduled to deliver to Ardmore in 2015.
Anthony Gurnee, CEO of Ardmore, commented:
“We appreciate the diligence and skill of Fukuoka Shipbuilding in constructing this state-of-the-art vessel, and we look forward to completing our newbuilding program with the scheduled delivery of a further three vessels in the coming months.”
Her addition to the Ardmore fleet increases the number of Ardmore vessels on the water to 21. Technical management of the Ardmore Chinook will be provided by Thome Ship Management Pte Ltd.
Ardmore Chinook is a high quality eco-design vessel, fully equipped with a variety of fuel-saving measures, including Skysails vessel optimisation software.
