He has participated in many multilateral and bilateral trade negotiations, including the Doha Round of trade negotiations at the WTO. He frequently comments on trade issues in the media and has jointly edited two books on the economic and legal aspects of the international trade regime. Shailja Singh is a Legal Consultant (Assistant Professor) at the Centre for WTO Studies. She is legal advisor to the Government of India for WTO disputes and is part of India’s negotiating team for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. She worked in the Advisory Centre on WTO Law, Geneva, for its Secondment Programme for Trade Lawyers in 2014.
