HMM has 20 units on order from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). Valmet is delivering scrubbers for the seven vessels built by DSME, with deliveries starting in 2019. Deliveries will include hybrid scrubber systems for main engine and generator engines including auxiliary systems and automation. The exhaust gas is washed with seawater in open loop mode and with recirculated water and alkali in closed loop mode. “We are proud to provide our technology to the Asian market.
